Addit participates in projects involving the manufacture of components for advanced lithography systems, utilizing its expertise in sheet metal fabrication, precision CNC machining, surface preparation, and cleaning processes for applications with elevated cleanliness requirements.
A particular challenge of this project was the development of a stable manufacturing process for thin-wall aluminum components, where even minor deformations could affect the functionality of the final assemblies.
Another critical requirement was compliance with the stringent cleanliness standards of the semiconductor industry. Addit implemented multi-stage washing processes, ultrasonic cleaning, UV-light inspection, and packaging operations performed in an ISO 14644 Class 7 cleanroom environment.
The project contributed significantly to the development of Addit’s specialized capabilities in manufacturing components for the semiconductor industry and established a foundation for the further expansion of the company’s cleanroom infrastructure and contamination-controlled manufacturing processes.
Scope of the project:
- Analysis of quality, technological, and cleanliness requirements for lithography system components
- Development of manufacturing technologies for sheet metal components designed to achieve the required cleanliness levels
- Implementation of a milling process for thin-wall aluminum components with deformation control
- Production of components using sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining technologies
- Surface preparation for anodizing processes in accordance with customer specifications
- Implementation of multi-stage washing, ultrasonic cleaning, and drying processes
- Execution of assembly, cleaning, inspection, and packaging operations in an ISO 14644 Class 7 cleanroom environment
- Cleanliness verification of components using validated inspection procedures
- Ensuring repeatable quality, full process compliance, and secure packaging of components for transportation and further integration within the customer’s cleanroom environment
