Market Segment:
Packaging Solutions
Our partner is a manufacturer of advanced dosing, weighing, and packaging systems for bulk materials used in the fertilizer, food processing, and pet food industries. The cooperation began with the production of machine frames and enclosures, and thanks to the trust earned and the continuously expanding competencies of Addit, the company was entrusted with the manufacturing of a dosing unit – one of the most technologically advanced modules within the customer’s product portfolio.
The project includes preparation of manufacturing documentation, production, and complete assembly of a dosing unit responsible for the precise metering of bulk material prior to the packaging process. Manufactured from stainless steel, the assembly requires high manufacturing accuracy, precise concentricity of moving components, and carefully controlled surface characteristics directly affecting material flow performance.
A key challenge was the development of a stable laser welding process for components with significantly varying material thicknesses while maintaining the required geometric tolerances. Another challenge involved determining the optimal abrasive blasting parameters required to achieve the specified surface sliding properties.
Addit is responsible for the preparation of manufacturing and assembly documentation, production of components, integration of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and execution of functional testing in accordance with customer requirements. The project leverages Addit’s expertise in stainless steel processing, laser welding, surface finishing, and industrial equipment assembly.
Scope of the project
