Addit participates in this project as a contract manufacturer of fully assembled and tested modules.
A key requirement of the project was ensuring consistent and repeatable quality regardless of the production batch. Achieving this required Addit to master and stabilize multiple manufacturing processes in order to maintain full control over critical parameters such as leak tightness, surface roughness, visual quality, and the integration of mechanical components.
Building a strong quality awareness within such a complex project required numerous iterations and close collaboration between technologists on both the client’s side and within Addit.
Scope of the project:
- Ensuring 100% traceability of materials and manufacturing processes
- Implementation of rolling technology enabling precise forming of stainless-steel tanks
- Development of a double gas-shielded welding process ensuring the highest structural quality and leak tightness
- Multi-stage leak testing of tanks
- Achieving the required surface roughness below Ra 1.0 through advanced grinding, abrasive blasting, and electropolishing processes
- Development of a detailed quality control system
- Organization of production enabling stable serial deliveries, each accompanied by complete quality documentation
