We have completed the installation and testing phase of our new powder coating line was designed and installed by Indufinish. This investment has been engineered specifically to meet the requirements of our customers and includes the capability to apply high-temperature fluoropolymer coatings such as ETFE/PFA (Halar® type).
The maximum component dimensions that can be processed on the new line are 5 m (length) x 3 m (width) x 3 m (height). The line has been designed with a strong focus on operator ergonomics as well as optimized component flow and internal logistics throughout the entire coating process.
The coating process begins in the surface preparation section, which includes, among others, manual high-pressure washing and degreasing. Components are then transferred to a drying oven operating at temperatures of up to 300°C, allowing preheating to the temperatures required for the application of ETFE/PFA coatings.
The coating application takes place in a dedicated cabin. Components are suspended on a handling system that enables vertical movement (lifting and lowering), significantly improving operator ergonomics and application precision. The cabin is equipped with a dedicated dust extraction and air filtration system, ensuring improved air quality and enhanced working conditions. Subsequently, the coated components enter a curing oven, also operating at temperatures of up to 300°C, where the coating is thermally cured. The heating and coating cycle can be repeated multiple times until the required coating thickness is achieved, in full compliance with the specified coating system and the functional requirements of the customer’s product.
The entire installation is managed by a dedicated control system that continuously monitors key process parameters, ensuring full process control, repeatability, and traceability.
The commissioning of the new powder coating line represents another strategic step in strengthening Addit’s technological capabilities and directly addresses increasing market demands for durability and high-performance protective coatings. With the capability to apply advanced ETFE/PFA (Halar® type) coatings and to process components up to 5 m x 3 m x 3 m, we expand the scope of projects we can execute and further enhance our ability to meet individual customer requirements.
This new installation is not only an expansion of our production capacity, but above all a guarantee of process stability, high quality standards, and safe, ergonomic working conditions. By investing in advanced technological solutions, Addit consistently reinforces its position as a trusted partner delivering comprehensive and technologically advanced solutions in surface treatment and protection.
