Addit, your reliable partner for complex and demanding electrical and electronics Industry

Market Segment:

Semiconductors and Microelectronics

Our customer is a global manufacturer of highly precise wire processing machines used in the automotive and aerospace industries for the production of wiring harnesses. Within this project, Addit is responsible for manufacturing sheet metal components, profile-based structures, machined parts, and for the complete assembly of a module that serves as a critical element of high-precision, high-speed equipment.

The cooperation initially started with the production of welded structures. Over time, as trust in Addit’s capabilities grew, the customer progressively expanded the project scope to include surface treatment, mechanical assembly, electrical and electronic integration, and full functional testing of completed modules. As a result, Addit evolved into a strategic manufacturing partner responsible for delivering fully assembled and validated subassemblies directly to the customer’s production line, without any additional incoming quality inspection required on the customer side.

A key challenge within the project was the establishment of a stable and scalable manufacturing and quality process for a product characterized by a high number of components and significant demand variability. Addit assumed responsibility for managing dedicated suppliers previously coordinated by the customer and simultaneously developed its own network of primary and secondary suppliers for the project, ensuring production continuity and reliable on-time delivery performance.

Addit was also involved in the development of the second-generation product, supporting the customer with engineering expertise focused on design optimization, modularity improvements, and alignment with efficient manufacturing processes.

Scope of the project

  • Prototyping and industrialization for serial production
  • Establishment of a flexible and resilient supply chain
  • Serial production of complex sheet metal, profile-based, and machined components
  • Integration of mechanical, electrical, and electronic processes within a contract manufacturing model
  • Production management under conditions of high demand variability and short lead times
  • 100% product testing using the customer’s dedicated testing system
  • Delivery of fully assembled and validated modules directly to the customer’s assembly line
