Market Segment:
Packaging Solutions
Our partner is a manufacturer of advanced flexographic printing machines used in the packaging industry. Addit is responsible for a project involving the production and assembly of complete modules forming part of multi-station printing machines, which, depending on the configuration, can be equipped with up to 12 printing units. Each module is manufactured based on dedicated engineering documentation, requiring a high degree of organizational flexibility and efficient production management.
The key challenge of the project is the wide variety of product configurations while maintaining the highest quality standards for components operating in contact with solvents and for assemblies responsible for the precise operation of the printing machine. Addit is responsible for manufacturing process development, production of carbon steel and acid-resistant stainless steel components, precision machining, complete mechanical assembly, and quality assurance. As part of the project, Addit developed welding technologies ensuring the required leak tightness of thin-wall structures, optimized product geometry, and implemented 100% leak testing of selected components, including comprehensive test reporting.
The long-term partnership has enabled Addit to continuously expand its scope of responsibility—from manufacturing strictly according to customer documentation to active participation in design optimization, development of dedicated transport packaging, and co-engineering of new solutions for subsequent generations of printing equipment. Addit delivers fully assembled modules ready for direct installation at the customer’s final assembly facilities, eliminating the need for additional incoming inspection.
Scope of the Project:
- analysis of technical requirements and development of manufacturing technologies for individually configured modules
- production of carbon steel and acid-resistant stainless steel sheet metal components, as well as precision machined parts
- development of welding technologies ensuring the required geometric accuracy and leak tightness of the structures
- execution of surface treatment, coating, and corrosion protection processes
- mechanical assembly of complete modules in accordance with engineering documentation
- 100% leak testing of selected components and functional testing of assembled modules
- development of dedicated packaging systems for road and sea transportation
- engineering support for design optimization and the development of subsequent product generations
- delivery of fully assembled modules directly to global final assembly locations
