This time our company became one of the partners of Beau Vilters Memorial, a football tournament, which has taken place on 27th and 28th of May in Herten, The Netherland, where young Beau Vilters, died two year ago at the age of 18, has made his first football steps.
Beau was a promising young player, but most of all a good and reasonable man fully focused on his goal – he wanted to become a professional footballer. He came close to reach it in summer 2015 being included in a first team of VVV Venlo for 2015/16 campaign. Unfortunately a tragic accident didn’t let him realize his dream.
Ten teams from several countries including Poland took part in this high level international U-15 tournament. By a decision of Memorial’s organizers financial support from Addit Sp. o.o. covered all the expenses related with participation in the event of Football Academy of Jagiellonia Białystok, a polish top division youth team.
Jeanne and Jan Velmans were also present in Herten last weekend watching football competition. Jan Velmans, owner of Velmans Industries Holding and Chairman of Addit’s Supervisory Board used this opportunity to talk to young players from Białystok. He also handed the trophy to the winners of whole tournament West Ham United, England. Polish team also did well finishing at 6th place being very close to semifinals and medal zone.
The Beau Vilters Memorial proved to be a great success and organizers already today think of next editions. We are extremely happy we could be a part of this fantastic event and we look forward to meeting in Herten next year.
