We are pleased to announce that Addit Sp. z o.o. has obtained DIN 2303 certification, confirming compliance with the requirements governing manufacturing process organization, personnel qualifications, technological supervision, and quality control for work performed within the defense sector.
The scope of certification covers the manufacture of military products made from both standard structural materials commonly used in the defense industry and materials requiring enhanced technological supervision. This group includes, among others, high-strength steels, non-magnetic austenitic stainless steels, and aluminum-zinc-magnesium alloy grades.
The certification also covers the production of components with a high level of safety relevance. According to DIN 2303 requirements, these are components subjected to significant static or dynamic loads and therefore requiring an elevated level of manufacturing quality and inspection.
The certified technological scope includes resistance spot welding, projection welding, gas-shielded metal arc welding using both inert and active shielding gases (MIG/MAG), TIG welding with filler material, laser welding, and stud welding technologies used for structural joining applications.
DIN 2303 extends far beyond the assessment of welding processes alone. The certification process also evaluates the competence of personnel performing and supervising manufacturing operations, production equipment, technological procedures, storage conditions for welding consumables, production documentation, and the quality assurance system applied before, during, and after manufacturing. The requirements also include the involvement of qualified non-destructive testing personnel responsible for assessing the quality of completed joints.
For manufacturers, system integrators, and suppliers serving the defense sector, DIN 2303 certification provides assurance that manufacturing processes are carried out in accordance with the requirements applicable to military products and that the organization possesses the necessary technical, organizational, and personnel resources to perform work within the certified scope.
